Palm Tree Lagoon: an earlier visit
13 DECEMBER 2020 / FISHING IN BANGKOK
A creator’s account of a Palm Tree Lagoon visit, discussing the setting, species and fishing arrangements at that time. It is useful as a historical comparison for the family’s forthcoming photographs and memories.
Notice what the footage actually shows about the lake and fishing positions. Treat the creator’s comments as their experience and opinion. We have checked the published description; we have not completed a frame-by-frame review or independently verified its catch claims.

The description’s prices, journey estimates and bait-permission claims date from an older visit. They are not current trip instructions. Compare the venue guide and present rules before booking.
What to look for in a fishing video
- Is the exact venue and filming date identified?
- Can you see the relevant rig clearly, or is it only described?
- Does the creator distinguish a measured weight from an estimate?
- Are staff leading the landing and release?
- Which observations could have changed since filming?
These questions turn viewing into preparation. A useful note might be “ask the guide to explain this bait presentation”, rather than “copy this rig everywhere”.
Our family films
We plan to connect original venue walkthroughs, fishing sessions and family moments to the relevant written guides. The family archive will be reviewed for location, date, photographer or filmmaker permission and accurate captions before publication.
Palm Tree Lagoon is the first priority, with Jurassic Mountain and Samui Fishing Club visits also available as subjects. Recent photographs provisionally associated with Bungsamran need their venue label confirmed.
No original family video has been supplied in this edition. Once available, each film will sit alongside useful written context rather than an otherwise empty video page.
