FROM OUR FAMILY ALBUM
At the water’s edge with the catch
Our Hookers photographs capture more than the final pose. The blue-framed net appears throughout the selection, and the wider views show the people helping around the fish while someone gets the camera ready.
There is variety in the catches too: a large dark scaled fish, a fish with clear horizontal stripes and a golden fish identified as a pacu in the family’s notes. The photographs below show the colours, markings and different shapes of the catches up close.

The moments around the photograph
Look at the helping hands in the first image and the position of the net beneath the fish. These photographs are a record of the family’s experience, rather than instructions to copy a pose. When visiting, agree the landing and photography plan with the venue’s staff before a fish is ready.
Continue with the venue’s published rules below, or compare the separate Tight Lines family photo story. Both albums belong in our Pattaya-area collection, but they are different fisheries.

What the venue offers
Hookers markets a Pattaya-area fishing lake with lakeside accommodation and a restaurant. Its website lists Siamese carp, arapaima and Mekong giant catfish. We have not independently verified its stock levels or trophy-size claims. Read the venue website.
The family has now supplied photographs and confirmed that they were taken at Hookers. The album above adds first-hand material to this guide; a detailed account of the visit and its date are still to follow.
Read the rules before packing
The published rules require approval of outside bait and tackle, barbless or flattened-barb hooks, and no treble or multi-hook rigs. Staff direct landing, photography and release. Children under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult. Read the complete venue rules.
Ask for a full approved setup specification before buying tackle. Rod rating, reel capacity, line, leader, hook and drag are connected choices; one strong component does not compensate for a weak or prohibited one.
Prepare the camera before the landing begins and let the guide choose the handling method. Do not interpret permission for a supervised photograph as general permission to swim or wade.
A day ticket or a stay?
Compare the total for a single day with the total for accommodation plus fishing. Ask whether a particular room includes a private fishing area and whether all members of your group can use it. Do not assume that every room has the same layout or package.
- Ask which fishing hours apply to your booking.
- Confirm rod allocation, guide support, bait and any extras.
- Check guest access, meal arrangements and children’s supervision.
- Request the current map pin and plan return transport from your hotel.
- Confirm cancellation, deposits and identification requirements.
Prices and booking
Use the published pricing and booking policy as a starting point, then obtain a dated quotation. We have not transcribed a price table where package terms need further checking.
The website footer states that it is operated by a marketing agency and describes agency fees and deposit conditions. Verify who is taking the booking and how their terms apply before paying. Website disclosure.
For the broader planning questions, use our first-trip guide. For the fish, start with Siamese giant carp.
